Well I have a few new things to help people lower their normal utility bills. One of my favorite that I have been able to do in the past is splitting your trash bill with the neighbor and only having one account between the two of you. And you just keep the trash can in a neutral place where you both can access it. Now this only works if both of you don't have tons of trash. But it can save you about $20 bucks a month depending on what you pay.
As for your electric bill. I cannot express enough that if you are not using the appliance (Like your toaster) or a light unplug that bad boy. All they are doing is sucking small amounts of electricity out of your home. Also as cheesy as they are get yourself one of those things that goes at the bottom of your door that keeps the cold out and the heat in. They really do work!
As for your water bill..When you start the water to warm your shower put a bucket under the faucet so all that extra water that is normally wasted can be used to water your flowers or yard!
Now with all the savings you get each month you should be putting that into a interest baring savings account so even though you saved the money you can earn interest on it and still live the same but after a few years you can take a fabulous vacation!
