A few things to get those bills down

Well I have a few new things to help people lower their normal utility bills. One of my favorite that I have been able to do in the past is splitting your trash bill with the neighbor and only having one account between the two of you. And you just keep the trash can in a neutral place where you both can access it. Now this only works if both of you don't have tons of trash. But it can save you about $20 bucks a month depending on what you pay.

As for your electric bill. I cannot express enough that if you are not using the appliance (Like your toaster) or a light unplug that bad boy. All they are doing is sucking small amounts of electricity out of your home. Also as cheesy as they are get yourself one of those things that goes at the bottom of your door that keeps the cold out and the heat in. They really do work!

As for your water bill..When you start the water to warm your shower put a bucket under the faucet so all that extra water that is normally wasted can be used to water your flowers or yard!

Now with all the savings you get each month you should be putting that into a interest baring savings account so even though you saved the money you can earn interest on it and still live the same but after a few years you can take a fabulous vacation!

Lets be clear

Lets be clear about one thing. I do enjoy getting a good deal and stocking up on things I need however if I do not, cannot, or do not have someone I specifically know who can use it I do not buy it no matter how good the deal is. Even if it is free. I see these people who video tape and share their stockpiles of groceries they have bought for next to nothing but one lady had dishwashing detergent and she even said she doesn't own a dishwasher. What is the point of that? It is wasteful and borders on hoarding. She also had preemie diapers but no preemie? Why would you do that? You may be saving money overall but if you don't use it then you are throwing money away.

Also I do not stockpile medicine unless it has a long expiration date. It would pointless to buy more than 2 dayquil that expires in 6 months because even if we do get a cold one package each will be enough and anything else may just be thrown away and I would rather not waste it. The things I stock up the most on are bathroom essentials: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, mouthwash, q-tips, toilet paper. And household items: Laundry detergent, dryer sheets, paper towels, freezer bags, and sandwich bags. These are things that do not expire or do not expire for over a year so I will stock up for 6 months to a year supply and do not replenish unless it is free or close to it.

I try not to stockpile food as the things that last the longest are the worst for you. Meaning mostly processed foods. I will always prefer to buy things like real potatoes and veggies to go with meals rather than can or frozen. It may not be cheaper but my heart will thank me in the end.

While being the best bargainer you can be just be careful that you don't wind up on the show called hoarders!
